Dear Hon'ble Nitish Kumar ji,
I read your letter to Hon'ble Prime Minister of India yesterday.
The way you hyped & timed the release of this open letter with very well media management, it told all the story behind the scene. Although I was not surprised at all. This is an election season and to retain the power, I have seen people doing all these tactics. It wasn't new for me.
Okay! Being a Bihari, it is my duty to show you some mirror on this episode.
In your letter, you argued on two lines
1) Your previous works & success
2) Trying to use the DNA comment to make an election issue.
1) Your previous works & success
2) Trying to use the DNA comment to make an election issue.
I will start with second one. The comment Modi ji made was very much on your Political career. Yes you can argue or counter that but sadly I don't think you have any substance to prove it. Opportunism is one of the biggest weapon you have through out your career till now. Can you name any single leader who was with you during your struggle days and same person is still with you today?? You have till now used everyone as a ladder & after climbing upon you always pushed the ladder down. We all know how you treated the Great George Fernandez. But leave it. It is every individuals right to choose his/ her way of journey. I have no issues with that since it is between you & that particular person. And for that thing my good friend Ankur (@BihariTweeter) who also hails from Bihar like me, has already demolished your entire logic in his letter yesterday which went viral on same Twitter. He has 5 times more Retweets than you, although you had entire PR team but a common boy defeated you in twitter war.
But I am still surprised that a learned person like you, who poses an Engineering Graduate degree from a very reputed institute, has tried to use a (Political) DNA comment as a Biological DNA thing. And you even argued that since you are a Son of Bihar, so your DNA is same as Bihar's DNA. If you had written it in political background then I had no issues. Rather you used Biological reference. So here is my objection.
If you know the Biological DNA, as you claimed, it depends upon the family tree & genes. How can you claim that entire Bihar has same DNA? Can you please substantiate it with scientific reference? Please do.
Secondly, by your logic, all the criminals, smugglers, murderers, corrupts, rapists (which are very good in numbers courtesy to JungleRaj) in Bihar, who eventually also are So called Sons of Bihar, have the same DNA as you? Do you support them?
How can a comment on an individual's behaviour is an insult of state? Please reply to Ankur's letter. He has asked you some tough questions, so I will not repeat them.
Now coming on your letter, you tried to make it an issue of the Pride of Bihar, in your words "Bihar Ki Asmita". I was surprised that you scored a self goal. Atleast I always considered you a mature politician but since break up from BJP, your each and every decision has exposed your cursory wisdom. But still that's not where I am interested.
Now coming to your Bihar's Pride logic, I will not allow you to take credit for birth of Aryabhatt, Maurya dynasty, Chankya, Lord Mahaveera or Enlightenment of of Lord Buddha. But yes You can take credit of what you have done as a Chief Minister of Bihar in last 10 years. I am going to link your work directly with your claim of Pride.
Okay. Let me start with Education. There are two major issues. First you allow Students to copy in their exam to score high marks then you recruit them as Teachers. A person who him/ herself doesn't know the alphabets are supposed to teach the small kids. I mean is it a joke? I am quoting a news report saying 10000 Contract Teachers, who were serving since 2008, failed in a test of Class 5th level.

Here is entire Google search screen shot. If you can Please reply.
Over
10,000 contractual school teachers in Bihar failed a competency test to
check their knowledge of English, Mathematics, Hindi and General
Knowledge for up to Class 5. The failed teachers will take a second
test, but those who fail again will lose their jobs as per government
norms. Bihar has been conducting such eligibility tests for school
teachers since 2008 - See more at:
http://www.newsinshorts.com/news/over-10-000-bihar-teachers-fail-class-v-test#sthash.CubGtXgT.dpuf
And hope you have seen this pic too from 10th Board Exam from Vaishali. Have a look if you still haven't. Your govt has not only killed the education system of Bihar but also murdered the coming generations. Where on the earth these kids will get any Job?
And 16th July 2013 is not much ago when 27 innocent Children died after eating the quality food provided by your Govt under the Scheme of Midday Meal in Saran. Remember those kids Mr CM.
Now Tell me, As a Bihari Shall I feel Pride when my young generations are scoring in the exam by copying? Shall I? Or Can you?
Ok, Now come to Excise department. I am quoting just one paragraph from a report published by Business today.
"The number of liquor vends allotted by the state government climbed to 5,467 in 2012/13 from 3,436 in 2006/07, according to official data. The jump was highest in rural areas, where the number of shops tripled to 2,360 from 779 during the same period. Liquor sales surged at a much faster pace. Consumption of country liquor quadrupled while that of India-made foreign liquor (IMFL) increased almost five times and beer sales soared more than 11 times."

Is this your model of Development? You wanted to make entire state a Drunkard and then you want us to feel pride?? For what?? Setting up Liquor Shops??
Now Tell me, As a Bihari Shall I feel Pride when my fellow people are wasting hard earned money on liquor & ruining their family? Shall I? Or Can you?
Lets move to Agriculture, which is considered as the single way of earning livelihood. What have you Sir done for the state? Everyone in Bihar claims to be a farmer or a Son of Farmer but when they sit on the CHAIR they forget where their father suffered the most. For last ten years, there were atlest 1000s incidents when farmers agitated. Do you know why? Just to get the fertilizers. Your entire administration was deaf & dumb and allowed the brokers to make extra profit by showing a man made scarcity. Farmers paid extra price because they don't had any other option. I am not going in detail but if you wish I can send you 1000s paper cuttings. Just let me know. For instance I am adding few web links. See them -

http://www.thaindian.com/newsportal/business/jd-u-workers-protest-black-market-in-fertilizer_100645972.html
And how Center Govt scolded you this year http://thefirstmail.in/news/news-details/64539-centre_flays_bihars_sloppy_approach_on_urea_distribution
And what happened after producing the grain? Although Central Govt announces minimum support price from the crops but d the farmers get anything? No. Why? Because of incompetent Administration. I belong to area which produces Maize. Bihar in a total is one of the largest Maize producing state. Have you established any single "Govt Maize Purchase Center"?? Name it. I challenge. Let's go to the highest Maize producing areas of Khagaria, Saharsa & Madhepura. If you can show me any single such purchase center, I will campaign for you in this election. Its open challenge.
If Farmers of Bihar are not committing suicide, its not due to you or your policies. But its only due to to hard working nature & ability to manage in limited resources. Otherwise Bihar had been severe than Vidarbha or Andhra.
Now Tell me, As a Bihari Shall I feel Pride when my fellow farmers are struggling to fulfil the needs of their family? Shall I? Or Can you?
Let's come to Migration. Biharies are considered as the best manpower. We are the reason behind every successful state. But what policy do you have to give us work in our own locality? Please don't name MNREGA. That is the worst thing in name of employment. Any initiative on Skill building? Do you know the numbers of migration for livelihood? You don't. Go & please read the report of your own govt. Nobody wishes to go out for livelihood. We are ridiculed, tortured & suffered. But to feed our children we don't have any other option. Alas! you could have done something.
Infact the very word "Bihari" has become an abuse. And you are saying that people of Biahr shall fight for the Pride of Bihar. Yes we will fight but not for you.
For me, Bihar is a much bigger thing and in noway You represent the Bihar.
Its my gentle advice, reduce your ego. Let me remind you, Bihar has never tolerated any person who thinks himself larger than life. Your dear friend is a good example of that.
I will wait for your response.
Yours

Nice. I wish he reads. Now it is up to the voters of Bihar how they react to these facts which are in fact are theirs. I always thought of Bihar as a politically alert state. I hope they don’t get misled by this political stunt of ‘Bihari Asmita’. However you must disseminate your article by all means available at your disposal to maximum people.
ReplyDeleteThanks for referring it to me.
Its painful to know n suffer what Samit writes. Ppl know Bihar for all the wrong reasons cos of its politicians n the mafias created by them. I hope ppl like Samit get to represent Bihar n its outstanding Biharis. Oh what a fall Nitish ji, from the reputation you had in NDA 1.
ReplyDeleteIt shows your @samitlive pain as Bihari. No doubt last 10 years was famous for "JungleRaj" in Bihar by the historic and charismatic Mr. Nitish Kumar. Your article should bring new energy among all "Biharis" to bring development agenda back to track. The land of "Nalandi" should bring its glory back at least education sector and which gradually will bring postive changes in other sector. Though I am from one of the BIMAROU https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIMARU_states but situation there is not such worst as I see in this terrain.
